Away

Underneath the snow and layers of crystalline ice,
The water is still flowing,
Making its way silently,
  darkly.
Away, away,
Always moving quickly away.

I love looking at the winter stream. Ideas for art just pop in my head as I watch.

I thought "Away" poem was going to read more like Lady Macbeth's mantra "Out! Out! Damn spot!"... away with the snow... But I, too, love the sound of snow melting and dripping as Spring warms the drifts. Happy February.

Perhaps that but I was thinking how the water pushes on though all the changes it goes though. It remains the same even when it is covered by the winter.
