SAQA's Showcase

I am honored to be a part of 6 artists at the special SAQA's Showcase Exhibit.

Curators: Judith Content and Carolyn Ducey
The “SAQA Showcase” is a special in-depth exhibition of the work of 4-6 artists at the museum of the International Quilt Study Center at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebr.
The artists chosen by jurors Judith Content and Carolyn Ducey are Deidre Adams, Michael Cummings, Gay Lasher, Jan Myers-Newbury, Wen Redmond, and Susan Shie.
Each artist will create several works for the exhibit, which may be considered for permanent acquisition by the museum. Artists will also be invited to participate in a symposium sponsored by SAQA and IQSC on October 20, 2012.

The exhibition dates are set at August 3, 2012 - Feb. 24, 2013.
MY Wall!!
"The exhibition turned out wonderfully – the quilts look great and the layout of the space really works well – especially considering the vast differences in scale between the different pieces.  I just finished meeting with our local art reporter, who is featuring the exhibition in our local paper on Sunday, who said he thought the exhibition is the best contemporary art show in town!  I’ll send a link to the  newspaper article when it comes out."
